With another chapter of the Mac’s U18AAA Tournament presented by Circle K in the books I want to congratulate South Alberta Hockey Academy on taking the Championship title. I’d also like to shout out all other teams on a great performance at an event that showcased the talent of hundreds of athletes, making for a great tournament. I would like to thank all of our amazing sponsors that made this event possible and Circle K and Tourism Calgary for their generous support of the event.
A big thank you to the Mac’s Committee members that worked tirelessly for months to make this possible. You are all valuable members and should be proud of the event we were able to put on.
Thank you to the hundreds of volunteers that gave up your time to have this event run smoothly, it takes a village and we appreciate your commitment.
The officials, you don’t hear this enough, but you all did a great job in managing the games and we hope to see you all back in December!
To the coaches and trainers, I know how much time, energy, and sacrifice your job takes and for that we thank you. You all did a great job and deserve a great deal of credit for being invited to the event and creating a culture of excellence within your programs.
A special call out and thank you to our Mac’s Minis, their families, and the teams that embraced them. We know this week provided a lifetime of memories for you and we enjoyed seeing your excitement. We hope to see you back at the Mac’s as players in years to come!
Lastly, to the players, thank you for the heart and competitive spirit you all provided. You were the focal point of the event, and we wish you all good luck in your careers.
